Luwice is from Karoi, Zimbabwe.
His journey into the world of art began at a young age, igniting a passion that would shape his life's work. Following his formal education, he found his way to the Chitungwiza Arts Culture Centre in 1997, where he immersed himself in the realm of artistic expression. Initially, he crafted intricate animals from wire and delved into sculpting, marking the beginnings of his artistic exploration.

Venturing beyond borders, Luwice's artistry took him to Botswana and Namibia, where his sculptures came to life with cultural and regional influences.

Upon arrival in South Africa, he found a

new home within the creative community of Little Artist School Project. Here, he honed his skills and expanded his artistic repertoire, eventually gravitating towards paper mache as his medium.

Drawing from his experiences and growth, he has dedicated himself to giving back. Within the nurturing environment of the school, he now mentors aspiring artists, passing on his knowledge and wisdom given to him.

“I try to bring to light issues around my environment and to combat pollution through the transformative power of art. With a deep sense of responsibility, I seek to shed light on the living conditions and challenges faced by African communities, particularly those dwelling in settlements across the African landscape.”
