Hendrick is from Mokopane, Limpopo, South Africa. He noticed his inner artist from a young age. In high school he recognised that drawing was an inspiration for him, and he says if you saw his school textbooks, there were drawings throughout. He recalls struggling with school work and focusing, and this is where he leaned on his love for drawing. Through art, he found a way to focus and connect.

After being recognised by a school teacher for his talent he decided to pursue college and learn more about art.

Unsure of where to take his career, he remembers when alone with time to think it was painting and art that always spoke to him. A friend told him about The Little Artists School and he joined in 2016.

His intention is simple, he got help when he needed it, and he now uses his experience to try to guide the children to finding their way through art. He says when he sees a child having a hard time, he remembers what he was taught and the blessing that he received.

He works on what he sees in the daily township activities and how the people interact with one another. He watches women who help their communities and are regular Church goers, and he says this is inspiration for him to tell their story. To show people how to live a good honest life.
